Description Organic Bergamot  Citrus bergamia Refreshing and Uplifting   A small tree bearing fruit that ripens from green to yellow, native to Asia but now cultivated in the Mediterranean region and extensively found in Southern Italy.  The essential oil is expressed from the peel of the small, round fruit and has a delicate, refreshing, citrus aroma. It is often used to help stress related conditions, having a refreshing and uplifting quality. Bergamot is photo toxic and should not be used before exposure to direct sunlight.
