Micellised Borage Oil GLA
Borage Oil is an excellent source of the omega-6 fatty acid, gamma linolenic acid. GLA is a key intermediate in the biosynthesis of prostaglandin, a substance neccessary for the maintenance of vital body functions. Gamma linolenic acid (GLA) provides Omega-6 series essential fatty acids has been much researched. It is a well known constituent of evening primrose, blackcurrant seed rosehips and borage also known as starflower. The extract from borage is most concentrated. GLA is involved in the formation of healthy cell membranes and is converted in the body to prostaglandin E1 (PGE1), which is an essential biochemical process.
