Description Organic Ginger   Zingiber officinale Warming A perennial herb native to South East Asia, it is widely cultivated in the Tropics and is mostly distilled in India, China and the U.K.  The essential oil is extracted from the root of the plant by steam distillation and has a warm fresh, spicy aroma.  It has been used for thousands of years for the treatment of cold and damp conditions and as a digestive aid.  It is very helpful for treating bone fractures and muscular aches and pains.  If you have never used Essential Oils before, or want to know more about using them, please check out our Guide to using Essential oils
