What is Homeopathy, how does it work? The principles of homeopathy were known about in the ancient world but a brilliant German physician and chemist, Samuel Hahnemann developed them into a scientific method of healing over 200 years ago. Homeopathy is a gentle yet powerful form of medicine, which stimulates the immune system into action after the body, has been overwhelmed by mental/emotional and physical stresses. Like many other therapists, Homeopathic Practitioners agree that ill health is the result of imbalances within the whole body, not simply something that happens in one organ or part of the body. By focusing on the causative factors of disease, homeopathy is able to produce long term improvements in health rather than short-term symptomatic relief.
