Description There is good evidence of the benefits of turmeric.  It's 'soothing' effects have been shown to help relieve the effects of irritable bowel syndrome, it's known that the curcumin in turmeric can inhibit inflammatory metabolites, the lead researcher at Reading university has theorised that conventional medications, such as nonsterodial anti-inflammatory drugs can exacerbate this by inflaming and irritating the gut lining, whereas turmeric has a postive deffect.  To be of use you need a high potency root extract of turmeric.  Lamberts Turmeric is a high potency root extract standardised to provide 95% curcumins, which is the level generally used in studies.  Each tablet contains 500mg turmeric root extract, which is equivalent to 10,000mg of turmeric spice, making Lamberts turmeric one of the strongest products in the UK.  Suggested dose: 2 tablets per day
