Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus. Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy.
Pregnancy Support Plus also provide a rich source of Vitamins B6, B12, C, E, Iron, Zinc and High DHA Fish Oil with Acidophilus, Bifidobacteria & Bulgaricus, Folate, Iron, Vitamin B12, & Vitamin D have a role in the process of cell division. Vitamin C increases iron absorption, and along with B vitamins contributes to normal immune function. Zinc contributes to normal DNA synthesis and to normal fertility and reproduction, whilst Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
